Film Photography Has Mostly Become a Thing of the Past – Should the DSLR Photography Be So Simple?

A brief example of how things in the photography world have changed and what the consequences there of are follows. Long gone are the days of buying a 24 or 36 exposure roll of film – the days when knowing beforehand to choose the ASA appropriate for the intended light one was going to shoot in. Today one inserts a SD card or a CF card into a little slot somewhere on the DSLR and little thought is spared to the times when loading the correct film was a miniature art and remembering to rewind the film when it was full was imperative to not losing your entire roll of pictures. Today ASA became ISO and is simply a setting on a camera and not something one had to physically buy and plan for beforehand. Waiting several hours or days for ones photos to be developed and printed was one of the most exciting aspects to the art of SLR film photography.

In recent years photography has become too easy. In the days before SLR film cameras had LCD screens and became digital, correct light settings were up to the photographers understanding and interpretation of the light meter as well as an enormous and intimate knowledge of the appropriate F-Stop. There was no such thing as taking a photo, instantaneously looking at the results on a bright LCD screen or assessing a detailed histogram and should the anticipated photographic outcome be pitiable, then simply making some quick adjustments and retaking the photo. This process iteratively occurs today because it’s free to do so and any deplorable photos can easily be deleted and forgotten. Film photos once taken could never just be deleted. The Art of Taking Aesthetically Pleasing Nude Photos

Nude photography is one of the areas of photography that most artists embrace at one point or another. It has that appeal that not many can resist. Nudes have appeared since early on in all types of artistry: from paintings to statues all the way to photography, black & white, and now full color.

When people hear about ‘nude photography’, they immediately thing of nasty, ugly things such as pornography and the sorts, and many times with good reason. Sadly pornography has tainted everything and while in the early years painting or sculpting a nude was an art form, now it’s considered tacky and distorted sexy. Yet, nude photos can be taken in a very pleasant, artistic and tasteful way without touching on the dark side. The secret is to remove the sex from it. Advantages of Low Angle Photography

One of the most popular angles to shoot is from the photographer’s standing point of view. While is fine with landscape and other general purpose photography, it does not create high impact visually arresting images.

Most of the professional photographers, who have mastered the art of photography by experimenting and self learning, produce stunning and engaging photographs that have been taken from low angle. In landscape photography, the foreground can be captured in detail when the photographer is really low and almost lying on the ground.
